We are seeking a passionate Family Support Practitioner to work within a remote Aboriginal community, supporting families referred by Territory Families. This is a hands-on, community-based position providing practical and emotional support in clients’ homes to help build safe, stable and nurturing environments.
Although the role is permanent, the organisation is open to candidates starting on an initial 3–6 month contract if they wish to experience the community first before committing long-term.
You’ll be joining a respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service with a long-standing presence in the region. The team is well-established, culturally grounded, and highly supportive. Free accommodation is provided on-site, meaning no rent and no utility bills, allowing you to focus fully on the community and your wellbeing.
$100,000 + Super

$6,000 annual flight allowance (pro rata, can be used internationally)

Strong organisational support and induction into community life
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Experience working with families, children or vulnerable clients
Skills in case management, family support, or community services
Ability to build trust, work independently and engage respectfully within an Aboriginal community
A willingness to live and work remotely
A current driver’s licence
Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Community Services, Child & Family Work or similar (or equivalent experience)
